about

Eruption returns with a mighty crash and the thunder of three mighty hardcore bands!

The first heat saw the foundations get tested by three hard rocking bands. The mighty STONEFISH returned to Krakatoa, and the crowd's favourite hardcore boy band delivered a performance worthy of their illustrious run together. Their 'sloppy, evil, rubbery riffs' could carry them through to the semis, a stonefish caught in the current of success!
The CERAMICS stake a claim for their fourth Eruption entry. Having made it to the semi-finals last year, the Ceramics are looking to go one better this time around. Delivering a strong performance, the self proclaimed metal punk rock indie (and scarily even pop) band made a good start on making the 4th time the charm.
Finally, shoes glittering with LEDs, THE JULIAN YEAR performed a mighty emotion-filled set to end the night. The cyber-nu-metal pioneers overcame it all to prove they belong in this year's semis. With a redemption arc they can be proud of, the band hopes their patented light-up sneakers will carry them all the way to an Eruption victory!
